Colorado names chief technology officer

Colorado’s Office of Information Technology today named Suma Nallapati as its new chief technology officer, replacing Sherri Hammonds who left in December for the private sector.

Colorado’s Office of Information Technology today named Suma Nallapati as its new chief technology officer, replacing Sherri Hammonds who left in December for the private sector.

Nallapati joins state government from Catholic Health Initiatives, a national nonprofit health system where she served as assistant vice president, leading service delivery operations.

Nallapati earned a master’s degree in nuclear physics from Andhra University in India, regarded as one of the top engineering schools in the country. She also holds professional management and project management certifications.

Previous to joining Catholic Health Initiatives, Nallapati was the director of global ERP at TeleTech Holdings, a publicly traded global business process outsourcing company.
