Greg McCarthy
McCarthy is the chief information security officer of Boston, Mass.
Greg has passionately and gracefully taken on building the City’s security program. He was a leader in the effort before 100% being appointed to the position; he truly earned his role. He knows how to put together a security program, and knows when to trust employees around him to make the program the best it can be. He has kept internal and external users at the forefront of decisions. He does a nice job leading a team that has both brought people along in the security process as active participants while doing a good security education and communications campaign alongside it.
