Broadband got funded
Cybersecurity funding in the infrastructure bill isn’t expected to go especially far, but $65 billion for broadband is expected to make serious in-roads on the nation’s connectivity gaps. While state and local leaders plot out where their federal dollars will go furthest, the Federal Communications Commission is attempting to refine its data-collection efforts. New mapping rules are hoped to provide a more accurate look at where broadband gaps exist, an effort that some states have already started to take up themselves.
