AI’s possibilities are exciting state government workers in Tennessee, CIO says
Tennessee Chief Information Officer Stephanie Dedmon says the agency staff inside her state government are warming up to the possibilities of generative artificial intelligence. She tells StateScoop in a video interview that the state has used robotic process automation to deploy about 140 bots across 16 agencies, work that has demonstrated cost savings and generated excitement for more advanced technologies. She says a recent “AI partner vendor experience day” convened 300 attendees, including 23 vendors, who showcased how AI might improve operations inside the government.
