Williamson County’s administrative and District Attorney Offices are responsible for processing 20,000+ cases annually. The biggest gap in the County’s Evidence Lifecycle was the collection and distribution of digital evidence for processing cases. The current process for managing digital evidence for both internal and external agencies consisted of unsecured and non-centralized methods. Williamson County chose a content services platform, Laserfiche, to provide an integrated and streamlined process for a Digital Evidence Management System. They offer their (30+) Law Enforcement Agencies a secure self-service portal to upload digital evidence. Integrations with key applications reduces data entry and removes steps in the process.
