Persistence is a virtue
Amid the pandemic, many technology leaders are focused less on new concepts or technologies and more on how to implement concepts and ideas they’ve been advocating for years.
“We have technology that we don’t know what to do with because of the way we’ve been operating,” one CIO said. “How are we going to address this new interest in technology and keep up the momentum? How are we going to deal with that?”
The answer, another CIO said, is to stay the course.
“We’ve been talking about modernization, breaking down silos, focusing on innovation, aligning technology with business objectives,” one CIO said. “Now, we need to do it.”
